Learn about the tower
Thanks to a volunteer, Ian Thomas, we are now able to offer a guided walk/talk about the tower and the statues. Entitled “Rebellion and Mystery” it provides an insight into the origins of the tower based on the 15th century insurrection of Henry Bolingbroke and the execution of the earls, and unfolds its story up to the 21st century and the reintroduction of the statues into the now empty niches. Due to Covid restrictions only five people can take part at any one time but the talk, which will run most Saturday mornings at 10.30 can be booked at info@projectblackjack.org.uk There are no steps and very little walking, so it is suitable for a wide range of people. Participants are asked to make a donation to support the project (suggested amount £3).
The maquettes are on show at the entrance to the Trinity Chapel, along with some information boards about the project.
So find four friends and arrange to join in the walk to learn more about the tower and the dynamic new statues.
